Reactive Dog Walking
Walking a reactive dog can be tough. You head out hoping for a peaceful stroll, but instead you’re dodging triggers, scanning the horizon, and holding your breath every time another dog appears. It’s exhausting—and you’re not alone.
This service is for dogs who find the world a little too much. I offer walks that are calm, considered, and tailored to what your dog can handle. Walks are usually around an hour, but I adjust the length depending on what’s right for your dog that day—because success isn’t measured by distance, but by how safe and supported your dog feels.
As a qualified trainer who specialises in reactivity, I bring a high level of skill and experience to each walk. These walks aren’t just about exercise—they’re an opportunity to gently work on your dog’s reactivity in a real-world setting. With consistency and care, we can create lasting change and help your dog feel more confident and relaxed over time.
Whether your dog is already in training or simply needs support from someone who truly understands reactivity, I’ll meet them where they’re at and help them move forward—one step at a time.

Walks are $60 each, or book a pack of 10 for $550.

What to Expect
Every dog is different, and so is every walk. Here’s how it works:

-
Before the first walk:
We’ll have a quick chat to go over your dog’s history, triggers, and any specific needs. If your dog is already working with a trainer (including me!), I’ll make sure our walks align with your training goals.

-
During the walk:
I’ll take your dog out for an outing that’s designed to keep them under threshold and build confidence at their pace. Walks are usually around an hour, but may be shorter or longer depending on what your dog can handle that day. I’ll choose quiet, dog-appropriate areas that set them up for success.

-
A learning opportunity:
Because I’m a reactivity-focused trainer, I’m always watching for teachable moments. These walks aren’t about pushing your dog—they’re about helping them feel safe while slowly building resilience and better responses to the world around them.

-
After each walk:
You’ll get a short update letting you know how things went, what we worked on, and anything I noticed that could help support your dog’s progress at home.

Is This Right for My Dog?

This service is designed specifically for reactive dogs—those who bark, lunge, growl, or become overstimulated in response to triggers like other dogs, people, bikes, or noises. If walking your dog feels more like a high-stress mission than a relaxing outing, this could be exactly what you need.

Your dog might be a great fit if:
-
They struggle with reactivity on walks but are safe to walk with someone experienced
-
You’re working on behaviour challenges and want extra support between training sessions
-
You need a break or are feeling overwhelmed and want to give your dog a chance to succeed with someone else

This service may not be the right fit if:
-
Your dog is aggressive toward people and not yet comfortable with strangers
-
They have severe medical issues or mobility concerns that require vet guidance
-
You’re looking for a high-energy, off-lead exercise session (this is more about calm, confidence-building outings)

If you’re unsure, get in touch—I’m happy to talk through your dog’s needs and help you decide if this is the right option
